Director of Nursing (DON) – Victoria, TX

Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a new hospice office in Victoria, Texas. This location is part of a larger, well-established hospice network experienced in successfully scaling and growing new markets. They require a strong leader to execute their vision and drive clinical excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily clinical operations for a smaller but growing hospice office.
- Start hands-on in the field until staffing grows to match patient needs.
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing hospice team.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal hospice regulations.
- Maintain quality care standards—quarterly performance bonuses are available based on key metrics.
- Work closely with leadership to drive census growth and expand community outreach.
What You Need:
- RN license in Texas (required).
- Hospice experience preferred but not required—strong leaders will be supported with training.
- Prior DON, ADON, or leadership experience in hospice, skilled nursing, ER, or ICU settings is a strong advantage.
- Ability to lead in a startup environment, balancing fieldwork with leadership responsibilities.
- A growth mindset and the ability to develop a strong culture of care within the office.
