Director of Nursing (Hospice and Home Health)

We’re looking for a Director of Nursing who understands the ins and outs of Hospice and Home Health, and ideally, has experience with a larger census and established connections with Richmond-area marketers. If you’re ready to step up and drive high-quality care, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of RNs and clinical staff across Hospice and Home Health ensuring exceptional care every day.
- Oversee Operations: Keep clinical services on track with strategic goals, managing the day-to-day with efficiency.
- Ensure Compliance: Own accreditations, audits, and regulatory requirements to keep standards high and ahead of changes.
- Drive Quality: Lead quality assurance efforts, focusing on patient outcomes and high standards.
- Problem-Solve: Spot bottlenecks and implement smooth-running systems for clinical operations.
What You Bring:
- Hospice and Home Care Expertise: Proven experience in both Hospice and Home Health is a must—you understand the demands and priorities.
- Richmond Market Knowledge: Familiar with the Richmond healthcare landscape? That’s essential. Connections with local marketers and experience managing a larger census is a huge plus.
- Leadership Background: 5+ years in Home Health, Home Care, or Hospice, leading teams? Excellent. 3-4 years? You’ll still do well here.
- Active RN License: Required—no exceptions.
- Compliance Expertise: Skilled in audits, accreditations, and staying compliant with evolving regulations.
- Local Presence: Ideally, you’re within 15 miles of Richmond, Virginia, as this is a hands-on role.
