Lead, Build, and Grow in Hospice Leadership
Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a newly launched hospice office in Victoria, Texas. This site is part of a larger, well-established hospice network known for successfully expanding into new markets. We’re looking for a strong clinical leader to drive care excellence and execute on growth objectives.
Oversee daily clinical operations for a small but rapidly expanding hospice office.
Begin hands-on in the field, delivering care until staffing levels grow in line with patient census.
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing hospice care team.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal hospice regulations.
Maintain high care standards—eligible for quarterly performance bonuses tied to quality metrics.
Collaborate closely with leadership to increase census and expand community outreach.
Active RN license in Texas (required).
Hospice experience preferred, but not mandatory—robust training and support provided for the right leader.
Prior experience as a DON, ADON, or leadership role in hospice, skilled nursing, ICU, or ER is a strong plus.
Ability to thrive in a startup environment, balancing hands-on care with strategic oversight.
A growth-oriented mindset and ability to build a culture of excellence and compassion.
Base salary of $90,000, negotiable up to $100,000 for the right candidate.
Significant salary growth potential as census increases:
Two initial $5,000 increases are awarded with early growth milestones.
Further $5,000 increases occur each time the census expands by 15 patients thereafter.
Quarterly performance bonuses tied to quality and compliance outcomes.
